芸術学部所属　［留学期間：2019年4月 ～2020年3月］

●　広島はどんな街でしたか？日本に留学中にどんな体験をしましたか？
Hiroshima is a beautiful city, close both to the sea and mountain side. The university is located outside of the city but has a good bus connection to get around. I really enjoyed living close to nature and only 5 minutes from campus. The location of Hiroshima makes it easy to go on weekend trips by train to Kyushu, Shikoku or the Kansai area. 

●　広島市立大学ではどんな勉強をしましたか？
 I studied Nihonga in the summer semester and sculpture in the winter semester. Both areas had no relation to my actual studies in Germany. However, I was able to get to know new working methods and techniques and expand my professional knowledge of art. And the fact that many classmates and teachers cannot speak English means that you have to quickly start using your Japanese in everyday life.

 ●　留学をした感想や、これから広島市立大学への留学を考えている学生にメッセージをお願いします。
I can warmly recommend a semester abroad to everyone. No matter where you want to go; the different culture, language and the way of living let you learn something new every day. However, in order to have a good time at a university in Japan, I can recommend to familiarize oneself with the customs and Japanese language in advance.
