Peace Studies in Hiroshima

Hiroshima City University will offer
Intensive Summer Course :
HIROSHIMA and PEACE 2011
July 27 - August 6

Our hearts go out to the victims of the terrible destruction and on-going hardships in northern Japan. At the same time, we want to assure potential applicants that life is going on as usual in Hiroshima, where we have suffered no damage or disruptions to our normal routine and are looking forward to another outstanding intensive summer course.

The aim of this summer course "HIROSHIMA and PEACE 2011" is to provide students with a general understanding of the nature and attributes of war and peace by illuminating various aspects of wartime experiences, including the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, and, at the same time, to explore contemporary issues related to world peace in the era of globalization.
We will offer undergraduate and graduate level courses. All the lectures are conducted in English in both courses.
In addition, free homestay accommodation will be available for non-Japanese participants.
